What's with the '.php' at the end of a lot of your web pages?

Nothing to worry about. This site is created with a database system called PHP.

That used to stand for Personal Home Page, but it's morphed into much more than that.

Rather than create static pages that would be a heck of an effort to keep up to date, we use a database to manage all of our pages. I mean, can you imagine a group of pages for every zip code and postal code in the world?

We can. It makes us shudder.

But to use PHP, the pages have to end in '.php' instead of '.html'. No biggie. Your identity is safe here.
